Deputies Arrest Prospect Resident With Cocaine For Resale

A Giles County man was arrested by local authorities last week after he was found to be in possession of cocaine while at a Lawrenceburg home.

Officials with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department report that Terry Wayne Coleman, Jr., age 27, of 7983 Bethel Road, Prospect was arrested at a home located at 1010 Maple Avenue in Lawrenceburg.

A press release issued through the department indicates that members of the Narcotics Unit went to the home where they found that Coleman was in possession of eight grams of cocaine.

Coleman was booked through the Lawrence County Detention Center on charges of possession of a Schedule II narcotic (cocaine) for the purpose of resale. His bond was set at $20,000.

Authorities said that at the time of his arrest Coleman was on probation for the same type of offenses and will likely be charged with an additional count of violation of probation. They said the department is working closely with the Board of Probation and Parole in this matter.
