Pulaski Couple Charged In Wake Of Leoma Home Burglary

Whereabouts of second suspect sought

Charges were issued against a Pulaski couple last week as the result of an investigation into a recent home burglary in the Leoma area.

A press release issued through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department shows that the investigation was the result of a break-in at a home located on Old Florence Pulaski Road.

During the course of the investigation detectives were able to link Pulaski residents Heather Brooke Forshey, 23, and Preston Wayne Townsend, 20, of 1813 Elkton Pike, to the crime.

Warrants were issued against both, charging them with the crimes of aggravated burglary, theft and vandalism.

Investigators arrested Forshey on Monday, October 8 and she was subsequently incarcerated at the Lawrence County Detention Center.

As of Tuesday, detectives reported that Townsend had not yet been located. They request that anyone with information regarding Townsend’s whereabouts contact the department at 931-762-3626, or contact investigators directly by calling the Criminal Investigation Division at 931-762-1608.
