Public Assistance Sought In Series Of Suspicious Fires

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in the hopes of obtaining information regarding a recent series of suspicious fires in Lawrence County.

Fire Investigator Shayne Adams of the Lawrenceburg Fire Department issued a press release on Thursday, asking that anyone with information about the fires to contact authorities.

“The fires have taken place throughout Lawrence County and the City of Lawrenceburg,” Adams said. “The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and the Lawrenceburg Fire Department have joined forces in an effort to locate any information the public may hold about the cause of these fires.

“As with any information persons may have about suspicious fires, they can use the Tennessee Arson Hotline to provide their assistance to investigators.

The Arson Hotline is a phone line dedicated to receiving information about suspicious and incendiary fires.  It is answered twenty-four hours a day, and you may remain anonymous when providing information. Cash rewards are offered for information leading to an arrest or conviction.”

To report information about any of the local fires you may call the hotline at 1-800-762-3017, or report it to sheriff’s department detectives at 931-762-1608. All calls may remain confidential.
