Employee Reports Vehicle Stolen From St. Joseph Store

An employee of a St. Joseph store reported late last week that her vehicle had been stolen from behind the business.

The victim, age 35, reported to deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that she had parked her 2003 Chevrolet Silverado behind Randy’s One Stop around 1:45 p.m. on Friday. She said that she had left the keys in the ignition. When she checked at 2:15, she discovered the truck had been stolen.

A neighbor reported seeing someone turn the truck around in the grass behind the store building, then pull out of the parking lot.

Another witness reported spotting the truck being driven along Iron City Road, in the direction of Iron City. She said that the driver was a white male wearing a baseball cap.

The reporting officer indicates that he drove from the business to Iron City, but that he was unable to locate the missing truck.
