Pedestrian Arrested Following Vehicle Burglaries

A pedestrian was arrested Sunday night after authorities were summoned to investigate burglaries to vehicles outside a Lawrenceburg apartment complex.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department responded to a call from McKissack Apartments on Old Florence Road around 8:30 p.m. While en route, they report encountering a man walking along the roadway.

As they approached officers report that the man bent down and dropped something. They recovered a white pill bottle that contained both Percocet and Valium pills.

Because the man, identified as David March Gable, 47, of 870 Lawrence Avenue, was on state probation at that time, he was taken into custody on charges of possession of Schedule II and Schedule IV narcotics.

A resident of the apartment complex identified Gable as the person who had been looking in vehicles earlier. Although he reported that a 380 pistol had gone missing from his vehicle, officers did not report finding it in Gable’s possession. As a result of the ID Gable was additionally charged with criminal trespassing.

Gable was scheduled an initial appearance in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on November 6, 2014.
