Grandstands At Rotary Park Coming To A Close
When the 2013 Middle Tennessee District Fair packed up and headed out this week, construction of new 
grandstands got underway at Lawrenceburg’s Rotary Park.
The original grandstand at the park had been in service since they were constructed in the 1940s. When the current project was proposed in 2010 Rotary Club officials said that wear and tear over the years had rendered them hazardous.
Despite continued upkeep and improvements, they said the grandstand barely met fire and safety codes and was not in compliance with the American’s With Disabilities Act.
Officials feel that the planned construction will better meet today’s needs at the park, with the added benefit of additional seating.
