Investigators Make Drug Arrest In West Point

On September 25, 2014 narcotic investigators with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department gathered information of a wanted person at 55 South Walnut Street, Iron City, TN and responded to the area to serve the warrant. 

Narcotic investigators also had information of possible drug activity occurring in the same area.  Upon arrival contact was made with Ashley Grace Hardwick, 25, of 2037 Tennessee Street, West Point, TN. 

Hardwick was found sitting in a truck in the driveway and was ordered to exit the truck.  When she exited investigators observed a one pot shake bottle that was active and in the process of manufacturing methamphetamine. 

Hardwick was arrested on the Violation of Probation warrant and subsequently charged with Initiation of the Process to Manufacture Methamphetamine and Promotion of the Manufacture of Methamphetamine.

  A 17 year old male was also inside the truck and he too was charged in juvenile court with the Initiation and Promotion.  Hardwick is currently being held at the Lawrence County Detention Center under a $61,622 bond. 

The juvenile appeared in juvenile court on September 26, 2014.
