Trailer Stolen While Owners Are Away

A Five Points couple notified law enforcement officials Monday that their neighbors’ utility trailer had been stolen while they were away from home.

Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 3:05 p.m. call to a home on Bonnertown Road. The pair reported that they watch over the property during the week because their neighbors work out of town.

The couple reported that a black, sixteen foot, single axle, Laramie utility trailer with a ramp and a gate, had been stolen from the rear of the property.

They told deputies that the spot on which the trailer had been parked was not visible from the roadway, and that it had been properly secured.

The victims estimated their loss to total $4,500. Investigation into the crime remains on-going through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.

Anyone who has information pertinent to the investigation is encouraged to contact the department at 931-762-3626.
