Leoma Church Burglarized

The pastor of a local church reported to law enforcement officials Friday that a Leoma church building had been burglarized.

Pastor Reba Smith summoned deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department to Father’s House Church, 573 Revilo Road, around 9:30 a.m.

Smith reported that she had arrived around 8:50 a.m. to find that the rear door had been kicked open. The door latch was damaged during the commission of the crime. She indicated that money had been taken from both an offering plate and a jug. Loss and damages were estimated to total $75.

Smith reported that all seemed well at the church at the conclusion of their last service on Wednesday, September 18. Investigation into the crime is currently on-going through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
