Victim Says Woman Wielded Walking Cane During Assault
Lawrenceburg police officers were asked to intervene Friday after a woman reported she had been assaulted by an eighty-two year old wielding a walking cane.
The victim, age 45, reported that the assault occurred at a Lawrenceburg apartment complex. She told officers that when the elderly woman exited the elevator she began yelling at her, then struck her with her cane. She told officers that in the past she had dated the woman’s son.
The woman denied having been the aggressor. She told officers that she had only struck the victim after she attempted to take away her cane.
The women were separated. No injuries were reported.
