The Florence Alabama Police Department had a busy morning responding to a structure fire, and cows on the loose.

 

Early Thursday morning the Florence Alabama Police Department responded to a structure fire on Houston Street.

Officers arrived with Florence Fire Rescue where firefighters quickly worked to safely extinguish the fire, and police advised motorist to avoid the area.

Following the structure fire call Florence Alabama Police Department issued another advisory for residents to avoid or use caution in the area of Veterans Drive and Poplar Street.  

According to officers multiple cows were on the loose in that area where police followed at a safe distance until their owners could be located.
