Shoplifter makes off with shoes

Lawrenceburg Now

Lawrenceburg Police officers were called to investigate a shoplifting incident that occurred at a North Locust Avenue business in Lawrenceburg Saturday.

Officers made their way to Shoe Show at around 11:20 a.m. where they spoke with the manager. She reported that a man had concealed a pair of Island Surf shoes beneath his shirt, then left without paying for them. She said the shoes were valued at $40.

The manager described the man as a white male, balding, around 5’5” tall and weighing 135 pounds. At the time the crime occurred, she said he was wearing a yellow tank top and blue jeans. She said that he got into a small, black four-door car, possibly a Nissan Sentra, and drove away.

Investigation into the crime is on-going at the present time. Anyone who has information about the crime should contact the police department at 931-762-2276.
