The Florence Alabama Police Department held a press conference after two individuals were arrested in the death of 3 year old Kaiden Garner.


On Wednesday the Florence Alabama Police Department released a press conference in regards to the tragic death of 3 year old Kaiden Garner, and to report the arrest of two individuals responsible for his murder.

According to the Florence Police Department an autopsy report showed that the 3-year-old child had been beaten to death.

Blake Townsend, 20, of Florence was arrested on September 2nd in Decatur, Alabama after he was indicted on one count of capital murder in the death of Kaiden Garner.

Florence Alabama Police officers along with assistance from Decatur police transported Townsend to the Lauderdale County Detention Center where he currently being held without bond. 

20 year old, Yalrick Pride of Florence was also arrested in regards to the death of Kaiden Garner where she was indicted on one count of child abuse. 

Pride is being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on $15,000 bond.
