The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency says one man is lucky to have walked away without injury after being thrown into the water while his unmanned boat circled him.

According to Officer Nick Luper with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency he received a call on Barkley Lake with reports that a man had been thrown from his boat after hitting something in the water.

Upon arrival the officer discovered that the man had been doing some work on his boat motor when he forgot to reattach his safety switch before taking off, and was thrown into the water where his boat began circling him at a high rate of speed.

Luckily the man was wearing his life jacket when he was thrown from the boat so he was able to safely swim away from the unmanned boat that continued to circle the waters until it finally shut off on it's own.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency ended the report by saying, "A Special thanks to the Stewart County Emergency Management/911 Communication Center for their quick response."
