A Tennessee man is suing Popeyes Chicken after several failed attempts to get their new sold out crispy chicken sandwich.
Craig Barr of East Ridge, Tennessee is suing Popeyes Chicken after several failed attempts to obtain their new crispy chicken sandwich that was sold out.
According to Barr's suit he accuses the company of false advertising, deceptive business practices and causing him to waste "countless time driving" to and from local chains to find the sandwich.
Barr stated he even answered a “black list” Craigslist ad where a Popeyes' worker supposedly was stashing the sandwiches then selling them at $24 a pop, but Barr was out that money after the employee never produced the chicken sandwich.
Also Barr explained that while traveling to the Highway 58 location his car tire blew out causing him to crack a $1,500 rim do to his search for the crispy chicken sandwich.
Barr filed the civil action suit with the Hamilton County Circuit Clerk Larry Henry where he is seeking $5,000 in his lawsuit.
At this time Popeyes Chicken has not commented on the legal matter.
