Charges Sought Against Ethridge Man In Connection With TDOT Theft

Charges are being sought against an Ethridge man whom authorities say confessed to committing a recent theft at the local Tennessee Department of Transportation offices.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were dispatched to investigate the theft of some truck tires at the department’s 1213 North Locust Avenue offices on Tuesday. They found that a lock had been cut, allowing the perpetrator to gain access to an area where two new truck tires were missing.

During the investigation department detectives identified TDOT employee Adam C. South, age 34, as a suspect. South was brought in for questioning and allegedly admitted he was responsible for the crime.

Detectives indicate that evidence against South will be presented during an upcoming session of the Lawrence County Grand Jury. They will be seeking indictments for the crimes of burglary and theft.
