Beef Expo Steer To Feed Hungry Families From Across Middle Tennessee

The Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association teamed up with TriGreen Equipment and Heritage Automotive Chevrolet, GMC and Buick of Lawrenceburg to support the 2013 Tennessee Jr. Livestock Expo.

Each entity donated funds to support the youth exhibitors at the Beef Expo held at the Livestock Center in Murfreesboro July 8-10.

Over twenty youth exhibitors from across Tennessee received over $5,000 in premiums for showing the champion or reserve champion steer or heifer in nine different breed categories.

Additional money was donated to purchase the Reserve Grand Champion Steer shown by Morgan Lehnert of Lawrenceburg Tennessee.

The Reserve Champion Steer will be processed by Shaffer’s Custom Processing and Texas Style BBQ of Lawrenceburg (931) 964-6328 and the beef will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to feed hungry families from across Middle Tennessee. TriGreen Equipment was formed in November 2006 following a merger among several independent John Deere dealers.

Currently there are nine locations in central Tennessee, eight in the northern half of Alabama, and one in northeast Mississippi for a total of 18 full service John Deere dealerships in the three state area.
