Resident Assaulted In His Sleep
A Lawrenceburg man told law enforcement officials early this week that a friend had broken into his home while he and his girlfriend were sleeping and assaulted him.
Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department answered the 1:30 a.m. call to 426 Mahr Avenue where they spoke with the residents. They stated that they had been sleeping when the man, age 29, was suddenly assaulted by one of their friends.
The female victim, age 24, told officers that the intruder had broken into their house, entered their bedroom, then jumped on top of her boyfriend and began striking him in the face. She indicated she had seen the man before he struck her boyfriend, but that she had no time to intervene.
While he was assaulting his friend, the pair reports that the intruder accused the victim of taking money out of his wallet earlier in the day.
Officers indicate that the victim refused to press charges against his friend.
