Two Locals Face Giles Meth Charges

  Two Lawrenceburg men were taken into custody by Giles County Narcotics Officers Thursday.

  The two were apprehended while allegedly attempting to purchase ingredients used for the manufacture of methamphetamine, inside a Pulaski store. During a search conducted subsequent to their arrest, police officers report the pair was found to be in possession of three grams of the drug.

  Jason Matthew Mayhan, 33, and Scott Wayne Sobey, 31, were incarcerated through the Giles County Jail under charges that include promotion of methamphetamine production, simple possession of Schedule II narcotics (hydrocodone), and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of resale.

  At press time both men were being held under a bond of $106,000 apiece.
