Damages Reported From Attempted Break-In

   A resident of the Leoma area reported her home was damaged when someone attempted to burglarize her home Friday.

   The victim reported that she had been away from her home for just over an hour, returning to find that someone had attempted to pry open her back door.

   Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department indicate that the door and door frame sustained approximately $250 worth of damage, but that nothing appeared to be missing or disturbed inside the house.

   The crime remains under investigation at the present time.
