Doss Announces $1 Million Grant For Lawrence/Giles Airports
State Representative Barry Doss announced Tuesday that more than a million dollars in grant funds have been awarded to airports in Lawrence and Giles Counties.
The state and federal funds were awarded by members of the Tennessee Aeronautics Commission under a grant program administered by the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Aeronautics Division. The funding is made available, “To assist in the location, design, construction and maintenance of Tennessee’s diverse public aviation system.”
The funds have been awarded for use on designated projects at the Lawrenceburg-Lawrence County Airport and Abernathy Field in Pulaski.
