Two Transported By Ambulance Following Crash
A crash in Western Lawrence resulted in two individuals being transported to the hospital for medical attention Sunday evening.
Emergency personnel were dispatched to a single vehicle crash in the area of Accu Cast on U.S. Highway 64 shortly before 6:00 p.m. The female driver was westbound when she apparently lost control and left the roadway on the left side. The car traveled through the Accu Cast parking lot, clipped a guide wire to a utility pole, traveled across a grassy area, crossed a small creek, and came to rest in a line of trees and brush.
Members of West End Fire Department responded to the scene, helping to remove the woman and child from the vehicle. Both were then transported by ambulance to Crockett Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
