Ethridge Woman Charged With Bringing Drugs Into Jail

  An Ethridge woman has been jailed in neighboring Giles County for allegedly bringing drugs into the jail there.

   Officials with the Giles County Sheriff’s Department report that Mary Lynn Chaney, age 37, was arrested Thursday after allegedly bringing several items of contraband onto the premises of the Giles County Jail.

   Chaney was arrested on charges that include introduction of contraband into a penal institution, simple possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a revoked license.

   At the present time Chaney remains incarcerated in Giles County in lieu of a $12,750 bond.
