The National Weather Service is warning residents about dangerously high heat index values for Monday and Tuesday.

 

According to the National Weather Service on Monday and Tuesday they are expecting dangerously high heat index values where they also updated the weather on Tuesday by saying, "Dangerous Heat Index values are expected. It'll feel like 105-110 Tuesday afternoon. Then we could see severe weather late that same afternoon and evening. Damaging wind gusts and flooding rains will be possible between 3:00p.m. and 10:00 p.m. across all of Middle TN."

The NWS is also reminding everyone to please take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside making sure to drink plenty of fluids, try to limit exposure to sun if possible, and stay in a air conditioning area when you can.

Be mindful that the interior of a vehicle can reach lethal temperatures, and never leave children or pets.
