Authorities Investigate Vandalisms At Two Summertown Churches
Local detectives initiated an investigation during the weekend after identical vandalisms were discovered at two Summertown churches.
It was around 5:30 a.m. when the pastor of Lighthouse Ministries, located 55 Highway 20, called to report that while on his way to work, he found that the church had been vandalized.
The second incident was reported around 8:30 that morning by officials with Summertown United Methodist Church, situated at 204 Shady Lane.
At both locations vandals reportedly used black spray paint to draw a cross with two lines on the doors, along with the name, “Lorrain”
The matter currently remains under investigation. Anyone who has information pertinent to the investigation is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s department at 931-762-3626.
