The manhunt continues for escapee Curtis Ray Watson.

 

The TBI had issued a blue alert asking for the public's help in locating Curtis Ray Watson, 44, who is an escapee from West Tennessee State Penitentiary in Henning.

Watson is also accused of killing a 64 year old prison administrator before he escaped where on Thursday investigators were able to secure additional warrants for Watson on charges of first degree murder, aggravated burglary, and aggravated sexual battery.

Watson who was serving a 15 year prison sentence for aggravated kidnapping as well as being previously convicted of aggravated child abuse was working in the Tennessee prison as a farm laborer when he escaped on a tractor where he later abandoned it about a mile away.

There is a $52,000 reward for information leading to Watson's capture, and If anyone sees Watson or has any information regarding his whereabouts please call 911 or 1-800-TBI-Find.
