Intruder Jumps From Window To Evade Authorities

An intruder who wandered inside a Lawrenceburg apartment while the resident was home Sunday evening, jumped from a window in order to evade authorities.

According to reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department, officers were dispatched on an unwanted person call shortly after 9:40 p.m.

The resident, age 53, told officers that a short time before, a white male subject named “Joe” had walked into his apartment uninvited. He indicated he had told the man to leave, but that instead he began looking around “like he was looking for something.”

When officers arrived, the resident said the man jumped out a bedroom window and fled into a nearby field.

Officers conducted a search of the area and report locating the man. The suspect, twenty-five-year-old Joseph Ryan Crisp of 817 Redhill Road, Ethridge, was placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail. There, he was booked under charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest and criminal trespassing.

Crisp is scheduled for to answer the charges through Lawrence County General Sessions Court on Friday, September 3, 2010.
