Lawrenceburg Industries Receive Grant Funds

   Two Lawrenceburg industries have been awarded government grand funds to assist with employee training.

   Governor Phil Bredesen and Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development, Commissioner James Neeley have announced that Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) grants have been awarded to Hughes Parker Industry and Modine Manufacturing.

   IWT grants are issued in order to assist existing employers with training needs and averting possible layoffs. Over the past three years more than $5.7 million in IWT grants monies have been awarded, assisting more than 22,000 employees.

   Hughes Parker Industry has been awarded IWT grant funds that total $10,807, while Modine Manufacturing has been awarded a grant of $20,460.
