Agenda Announced For Thursday Meeting Of Lawrenceburg Council
Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council meeting in regular session Thursday have only a moderate number of business items to consider.
During the meeting, officials will honor long-time employee Ken Nelson upon his retirement.
A public hearing will be held during the meeting regarding the proposed 2011-2012 fiscal year budget. Passage of the budget ordinance will then be considered for second and final approval.
Council members will consider on second reading passage of an ordinance creating a public works department for the city. Also on the agenda, for first reading, is an ordinance that will allow an amendment to the 2010-2011 fiscal year budget.
The sole resolution on the agenda calls for the council to adopt a debt management policy in accordance with procedures required by the state comptroller’s office.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will get underway at 8:30 a.m. inside the commission meeting room of the Lawrenceburg City Administration Building on West Gaines Street.
