Authorities Investigate Thefts From Rogers Group

   Thefts from the Rogers Group on Waynesboro Highway are the subject of an investigation initiated through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Monday.

   Deputies with the department were dispatched to the business after employees discovered the thefts. The reported that thieves had entered the grounds, stealing a 1993 Ford f-450 service truck along with several gas cans, a battery charger, spools of copper wire, and bottle jacks.

   The theft is believed to have occurred between noon on Saturday and Monday morning.

   Cumulative losses were estimated to be in excess of $16,000. Anyone who has information regarding the crime is encouraged to contact the department at 931-762-3626.
