A Lawrence County woman was arrested for failure to report sexual abuse.

 

Annie Martin, 26, of Lawrenceburg was arrested on Wednesday by local authorities after it was discovered that she failed to report abuse that was done to her 4 year old child.

Reports indicate that the child told Martin in Late 2018 of the abuse that was happening by Tommy Watkins, 33, of Leoma, and Martin did not report the suspected abuse of her child.

Before Martin was arrested local police was dispatched on Monday with reports of sexual abuse to her 4 year old child by Watkins who was arrested and charged with one count of rape of a child.

Martin's failure to report the abuse of her child most likely contributed to continued abuse by Watkins; therefore, Martin was arrested on charges of failure to report sexual abuse where her bond was set at $500,000.
