Election Day Is Thursday

4,345 votes already cast

   Local voters are reminded that the Lawrence County General Election will get underway Thursday morning.

   Polls across the county will open at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, remaining open until 7:00 p.m.

   The early voting period drew to an end Saturday. Lawrence County Administrator of Elections June Davis reports that a total of 4,345 individuals cast votes during the combined early voting period and absentee ballots.

   The names of the following candidates appear on the August 5 ballot:
