Authorities looking into vandalism incidents

Lawrenceburg Now

Local law enforcement officers have been asked to look into several vandalism incidents that have taken place recently.

In one incident, police officers made their way to a home on First Avenue where the resident’s 2003 Ford Expedition had sustained around $200 worth of damage. Several scrapes were found on the sides of the vehicle.

Officers were asked to speak to a Shirley Drive resident after she discovered that her outbuilding had been burglarized. She reported that nothing appeared to be missing, but that the person responsible had cut the latch from the door, causing minor damage.

Sheriff’s deputies took a complaint from a resident of Busby Road who indicated his mailbox had been shot sometime between 1:00 and 6:00 that morning. He had no idea who might have shot the mailbox. Damages were estimated at $50.
