Lawrenceburg Now
Theft
A Lawrenceburg woman reported to police officers Monday that she had located her son’s stolen PlayStation 3 gaming system at a local pawn shop. She told officers that her son had been at the home of an acquaintance a few weeks prior, playing games. She said that he fell asleep, waking to discover that his game system was missing. Loss in the case is reported to be $369.
Aggravated burglary
An Oak Street resident filed a complaint with police officers Tuesday, indicating that someone had entered her home the previous night while she slept, making off with a plastic bag from her purse that contained a birth certificate, bank card, and social security card. Also stolen, she said, was a cowboy hat. The victim said that the items went missing while she was sleeping on the couch; her purse on the floor beside her. The victim said that that the door had been locked however officers detected no sign of forced entry.
Shoplifting
Employees of Dollar General Store located at 2010 North Locust Avenue in Lawrenceburg reported a shoplifting incident Tuesday. They said that two white males in a blue GMC extended cab truck pulled up to a display on the sidewalk in front of the store, took eight cases of Dr. Pepper, then left without paying for them. Loss was said to total $38.
