Thieves Target Local CSCC Branch
A number of items were reported missing when thieves targeted the local branch of Columbia State Community College overnight Friday.
Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department indicate workers arrived at the campus around 5:30 Saturday morning, discovering the crime. They reported that numerous items had been stolen, including: plant food, Tide detergent, WD40, Epoxy glue, a Fuji camera with battery, memory card and bag, measuring tape, pliers, a hammer, ant spray, screws, bolts, a flashlight, and a DVD of “50 First Dates.”
Workers reported all of the items belonged to the school with the exception of the DVD, which belonged to Lillian E. Hayes of Mt. Pleasant.
Loss was estimated to total nearly $500. Anyone who has information regarding the crime is urged to contact the Lawrenceburg Police Department at 762-2276.
