Industry Lost In Sunday Night Fire

A Lawrenceburg industry was completely destroyed when a fire ignited there Sunday night.

According to Fire Investigator Shayne Adams with the Lawrenceburg Fire Department, the fire call to Prime Seating, 2130 Pulaski Highway, went out around 10:45 p.m. The industry, owned by T.J. Hughes, was the location for the construction of motel furniture.

Firefighters remained on the scene throughout the day Monday, extinguishing “hot spots” and watching for areas where flames might rekindle.

The structure, as well as everything inside, Adams said, was “Pretty well a total loss.”

Adams indicated that, at the present time, they do not know how the fire ignited. An investigation will get underway once the charred remains have cooled down completely – likely on Wednesday.
