Summertown Man Arrested For Violating Sex Offender Registry

   A Summertown man was taken into custody Monday by law enforcement officials on charges that he was in violation of the state sex offender registry law.

   Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department show that Albert Dee McNabb, age 33, was arrested at 38 Carroll Road, Summertown, shortly before 3:00 p.m.

   Authorities had received information indicating that McNabb “is absconded from registration… it has been determined that he is no longer residing at the last reported address.” When last he registered with the TBI, as required by law, McNabb had listed his address as 62 Lambs Ferry Road, Leoma. McNab was convicted in 1997 on one count of sexual battery.

   McNabb was booked through the Lawrence County Jail on one count of violation of the sex offender registry. He is scheduled to answer the charge through Lawrence County General Sessions Court on August 10, 2009.
