Bofest 2009 Features Universal Recording Artist For October Show

A Kid’s Place child advocacy center would like to announce Bofest 2009 presented by: Rapid Care Walk‐in Clinic.

It will be held October 17th at The Crockett Theater, in Lawrenceburg, TN at 7:00pm. Bofest 2009 is an acoustic rock concert with all proceeds going to benefit A Kid’s Place, in Lawrenceburg.

This year’s event features Universal Records recording artist Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge. The concert also includes local artists Matt Roy and Luke Dunkin.

Since 2004, Myles Kennedy has been the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for Alter Bridge, a rock band formed by Creed members Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, and Brian Marshall. Two albums later, Alter Bridge has seven hit singles. Not the least is the
single, “Watch Over You,” which was the theme song of the most recent season of Vh1’s Celebrity Rehab.

The “Watch Over You,” video also reached number one on Billboard’s hot video clips. Currently Alter Bridge is on break while Myles Kennedy records a solo record and the rest of Alter Bridge tours and records with Creed.

Matt Roy, of Summertown, has played concerts over much of the Southeast and has recently recorded an album. Luke Dunkin, of Lawrenceburg, is a singer / songwriter whose musical style is a cross between Steve Earle and the Allman Brothers.
