Resident Reports Trees Cut Illegally

   An area resident summoned law enforcement officials to initiate an investigation last week after he discovered trees had been cut from his property without his permission.

   Charles Orton requested that Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies be dispatched to the property on Barnett Road shortly after making the discovery. He told deputies that no one had permission to be on his property.

   Loss as a result of the crime is estimated to total $2,000.00.
