Additional Charges Placed Against Brothers In Connection With Crime Spree

Additional charges have been placed against Lawrence County brothers in connection with a crime spree that included damages to an area church.

Charges of aggravated burglary, theft, and telephone harassment were placed against half brothers Trevour Donovon Harcros, 21, of 194 Byrd Road, and James Clyde Noble, 24, of 153 Gore Road, in early June. The brothers were arrested in the wake of a weekend crime spree during which they were accused of burglarizing a home, stealing firearms, and placing a series of harassing and threatening telephone calls.

During that crime spree, the brothers allegedly walked to Beechgrove Baptist Church at 380 Mt. Lebanon Road, and hid the stolen firearms in a wooded area adjacent to the church building. Shortly afterwards, church officials discovered that the front glass door had been shattered, resulting in losses of some $550.00 to the congregation. Reports show that both Noble and Harcrow have now been charged with vandalism in connection with the church damages.

In addition, both men have been charged with vandalism and arson in connection with a crime that occurred at a Gore Road home in late May.

Shortly before 10:00 p.m. on May 27, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies were summoned to the 153 Gore Road home where a visitor discovered damages to her 1993 Chevrolet truck.

The victim, a resident of Dresden, Tennessee, told deputies she had been visiting her sister-in-law at the time the crime occurred. She indicated that they had heard noises outside earlier, but did not see anything when they had looked out.

When she exited the house to head home, the victim reported finding a piece of burning plastic lying on her truck. The women were able to remove the plastic, however not before damages had been sustained. Reports indicate that the windshield had been broken, and that the hood and dash had been covered in melted glass. In addition, the windshield wipers were melted. Damages were estimated at $5,000.00.

Both Harcrow and Noble are scheduled to answer the additional charges through Lawrence County General Sessions Court on August 4, 2008.
