Visitor Bitten By Dog While Walking

A Michigan resident was bitten by a dog while walking along a Lawrence County roadway on Monday.

The victim, age 53, of Tecumseh, Michigan, made her way to Rapid Care Clinic on North Locust Avenue to seek medical attention for her wound. Medical personnel then summoned a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputy to generate the required legal report.

The victim told deputies she had been walking along Peppertown Road around 2:00 p.m. when the blonde Chow mix came up behind her and bit her on the left calf. She indicated she was uncertain to whom the dog belonged.

Investigation in the matter has been turned over to the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
