Mattoxtown Road Resident Arrested As Fugitive From Ohio
A Lawrenceburg man was arrested by local authorities early Tuesday, after they received notification from a law enforcement agency in Ohio, informing him that he was a fugitive from justice.
The department received a letter from the Miskingum County Sheriff’s Department shortly before, notifying that a bench warrant had been issued against the man through Muskingum County Ohio Common Pleas Court. The warrant specified that the man had “failed to abide by sanctions of community control.”
Deputies made their way to the man’s home, 1146 Mattoxtown Road, where they were able to place him under arrest without incident. Michael Lee Higgins, 26, was booked through the Lawrence County Jail on one count of fugitive from justice. He was incarcerated there to await extradition to Ohio.
