Summertown Man Reports Neighbor Is Stealing Mail

   Law enforcement officials were asked to investigate last week when a Summertown man reported his neighbor has been stealing his mail for more than a month.

   Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to speak with the victim around noon Friday at his Highway 20 home. He reported that he had received no mail inside his mailbox since June 10. He became suspicious and reports he discovered a neighbor had been gaining access to his mailbox.

   On Thursday of last week, the victim reported he had recorded her opening his mailbox to see whether there was anything inside.

   Investigators with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division have been tasked with delving further into the matter.
