Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were called to a Valley Road home last week after the resident realized that someone had stolen his weed eater.

The victim told deputies that he had kept his weed eater on a trailer at the rear of his home along with his leaf blower and zero turn lawnmower. Only the weed eater was missing.

The Husqvarna brand weed eater was valued at $500.

A Fall River Road resident reported a $650 loss at the hand of thieves on Tuesday. The resident reported to sheriff’s deputies that his Poulan brand weed eater and chainsaw had been stolen along with his Briggs & Stratton pressure washer.

The victim said that his items had been stolen off a trailer which he had kept on the east side of his home. He said that it was highly visible from the road.

A black .22 caliber Ruger SR pistol was reportedly stolen out of the vehicle of a resident of Shady Street in Summertown. The victim said the gun, valued at $350, was stolen out of his console.

Deputies were also asked to investigate when a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 dually truck was stolen from Leoma Monument, 2681 Highway 43 South, Leoma. The owner said the truck had been stolen sometime the previous night. The truck had an 8x12 foot steel bed with a gooseneck ball. Loss in the case was said to be $20,000.
