Chapman To Serve Maximum In Wife’s Death

A Lawrenceburg man charged in connection with the March, 2010 shooting death of his wife will serve 25 years behind bars.

Joshua Stanley Chapman, 29, was jailed shortly after the death of wife Daysha Marie Price Chapman, age 24. Daysha Chapman perished during a domestic dispute inside the couple’s 73 Piney Road home on March 28, 2010.

Officials reported she perished as the result of gunshot wounds, including one round to the temple. Joshua Chapman was subsequently incarcerated, then indicted on a charge of first degree murder.

In conjunction with a plea bargain agreement entered in Lawrence County Circuit Court on July 14, Chapman entered a guilty plea to the lesser charge of second degree murder.

Under the terms of the agreement Chapman is required to serve 100% of the maximum 25 years sentence.
