Shoplifter Arrested After Hauling Several Loads To Her Car
A Goodsprings woman was booked through the Lawrence County Detention Center late last week after employees witnessed her hauling several loads of merchandise to her car, without paying for them.
Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department made the arrest at 6:45 p.m. Friday. Reports show that Brandy Nichole Collis, 32, was booked under a charge of theft of property over $500.
The manager of the Dollar General Store located at 2010 North Locust Avenue told officers employees had watched much of the time as Collis shoplifted some 241 items. She indicated that Collis would fill a large bag, go to her car and unload it, then reenter the store and fill it again. She said the items had a total value of $637.25.
Collis is scheduled for an initial appearance in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on August 4, 2011.
