Resident Reports She Was Attacked Outside Bar

Law enforcement officers initiated an investigation early Friday morning after a Lawrenceburg woman reported she had been attacked by multiple assailants in the parking lot of a local bar.

The victim, age 25, told deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that she had exited Double Vision Bar on international Drive when a man with whom she was familiar “came running at her and punched her in the face.”

In the wake of the initial assault, the victim said a woman threw a beer bottle at her. She indicated she threw the bottle back at her attacker and turned to run to her car. Before she got inside, however, she said several people “jumped on her and started beating her up.”

Other individuals who were in the parking lot at the time broke up the ruckus, the victim said. She told officers she got into her car, but that as she drove off the woman threw a beer bottle through her passenger side window, causing damages of approximately $400.

No arrests had been made at the time reports were filed, however deputies did advise the victim how she could go about obtaining a criminal summons in the matter.
