Lawrenceburg Man Arrested For Stalking Coworker

A Lawrenceburg man was arrested last week for allegedly stalking a coworker both at, and away from their place of employment.

Kenneth G. Moore, age 66, of 707 Hayes Road was arrested on the stalking charge on Friday.

Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that Moore had been telling people that he was involved in a relationship with the victim, which she said was not true.

She told officers that Moore had followed her around outside of work, often with her mother and child present. She said that Moore had been acting aggressively, intimidating individuals who spoke with her at work.

The victim, along with her manager, told officers that while she was speaking with the manager in his office about the situation, Moore was making attempts to see inside the office.

In order to better assess the situation, the manager had the victim go into the women's restroom and lock herself inside. They reported that, while the manager was watching from a concealed location, Moore broke through the lock, then forced open a door to get to the victim.

The manager said he confronted Moore and instructed him to stay away from the victim, but that Moore became irate to the point that he had to restrain him. He told officers that the incident had been captured on security video. He said that he attempted to discipline Moore, but that Moore has appealed the matter to their Board of Directors.

The detective assigned the case noted that he, "Learned that on more than one occasion (Moore) had been told to stay away, but showed up at the club and sat in the parking lot, watching the building."

The detective reported that, "Due to my fear that he was escalating his behavior and may harm (the victim)," he obtained a warrant for Moore's arrest.

Moore was transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center for incarceration. He will be required to answer the charge in general sessions court on September 4, 2014.
