Resident Charged With Rape Of A Child Released On Bond

A Lawrenceburg man arrested on charges of rape of a child was released on bond following a bond review hearing Monday.

Faron Lee Jaco, a fifty-three-year-old resident of 629 Big Springs Road, was arrested on the charge on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, in the wake of an investigation undertaken through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department.

Jaco was accused of raping a ten-year-old female relative. Evidence collected during the course of the investigation lead officials to feel it prudent to charge Jaco with the crime.

Since his arrest, Jaco had remained incarcerated through the Lawrence County Jail. He appeared before Lawrence County General Sessions Court Judge Patricia McGuire on Monday for a bond review. Bond had initially been set at $50,000. During the proceedings McGuire ordered that the bond remain the same.

Following the hearing, Jaco was able to post bond through assistance of Herb’s Bonding Company.

Jaco is slated for a preliminary hearing on the matter on Tuesday, July 22, 2008.
