Amish Toddler Perishes In Tuesday Accident
A toddler perished Tuesday morning while playing inside his family’s milk barn in the Ethridge Amish Community.
According to officials with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, two-year-old Danny Miller was playing in the barn at 62 Gray Road while other family members were performing daily chores about the farm.
The child was apparently climbing in the area of the hay loft and fell, becoming entangled in some baling twine and hanging himself. The child perished before family members realized he was in danger.
The youngster was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.
